Steadyrack bike racks use a unique pivot and tilt design that allows the bike to be stored parallel to the wall, taking up less space than traditional bike racks. The rack has two arms that the bike's front wheel sits in, and a pivot point at the base of the rack. To store a bike, the rider simply tilts the bike towards them and rolls the front wheel into the rack. To remove the bike, they do the opposite and tilt it away from the wall and lift it out of the rack. This design allows for easy and efficient storage of multiple bikes in a small space.

With many different bicycle racks for sale, where to start? Are you looking for a universal bike rack or perhaps the exact bike rack for your type of bike? When choosing a bike rack, it’s ideal to match your rack to your bike. When deciding between our different types of bike racks, it comes down a few small things - tyre width, wheel diameter and fenders (mud guards).

Follow the steps below to work out which of our Steadyrack bicycle hanging racks is right for your bike.

STEP 1

Tyre and wheel size

Wheel size is the diameter of your wheel from edge to edge (A). Tyre width is the width of the tyre on the wheel (B). It’s the combination of these two numbers that determine which type of bike rack to choose.

STEP 2

Space between the downtube and wheel

If your bike has less than 15mm or 1/2” gap it may be better suited to the Fender Rack. This is the most appropriate type of bike rack for bikes with tight tolerance between the downtube and tyre.

STEP 3

Fixed fenders or mudguards attached to the front forks

Steadyrack Fender rack is the only type of vertical bike rack that you can roll your bike in and out of, if it has permanent fixed fenders or mudguards.
