5 Giant Reign 29ers, 5 completely different builds! From a stock flagship Giant Reign Adv Pro 0 all the way to a Reign 29 frame up custom build.
The new platform Giant Reign 29er was unvailed in 2020 has been a popular favorite here at Evo (and around the world) ever since. An Enduro beast, this bike is as capable as any on the decent and climbs particulary well for a long travel bike on the way up. It's available in a range of build options off the shop floor in both alloy and carbon, so there's a model to suit every rider and budget.
The Nelson crew seem to be particulary fond of the Reign 29er, and have seen some wild builds in the past year. Below is a selction of our favorite Reigns to pass through the showroom (in no particular order).
Giants flagship enduro monster, the Reign Advanced Pro 29er 0. Decked out in only the finest components, this bike is made for the most discerning rider. Featuring Giant’s hand-crafted Advanced Grade Composite frame, carbon wheels, Fox Factory suspension and a Shimano XTR groupset! This thing is a dream build off the shop floor.
Is there such a thing as too much bling? When @kaneaxel, rocked into the Nelson showroom with this beauty, we couldn't help but drool over his customized Reign 29er Adv Pro 0! Dripping in gold, it's a real head turner. With a gold absoluteBLACK oval chainring, Maxxis tan wall Minion DHR II tyres, Fox Factory suspension (with Kashima) on top of a full carbon build and SRAM XO group, this thing isn't messing around.
Who doesn't like pizza? This palate pleasing 2021 Giant Reign Adv Pro 1 29er is packed full of upgrades, is easy on the eyes and rides like a dream! Big wheels, impressive spec, fast, pictures of cats and pizza... What's not to like?! Featuring upgrades including DVO Suspension, a Truvativ Descendant cockpit, Ergon Enduro saddle & grips and a pizza cat Dyedbro frame protection wrap.
This 2021 Reign 29er started as a frameset and was built from the ground up. Running a full Shimano XTR group with a 12-Speed drivetrain and 4-piston brake set, plush DVO suspension, a wheelworks wheelset and topped off with a Deity Components bar and stem combo. This thing stands out with the amazing Giant paint color (with hints of blue, green and purple) and that unmistakable signiture DVO green.
You'd be forgiven if you almost missed this one... a 2020 frame color wrapped in camo Dyedbro frame protection. This not so stealth rig is spec'd in dream components. DVO suspension, Shimano XTR, Renthal carbon bars, PRO saddle running on Maxxis rubber and Wheelworks Flite rims.
