Prepared for when the smooth pavement comes to an end, the Mavic A1022 Road Rim is engineered for the demands of gravel adventure riding thanks to its wide, super-light and versatile build.

This high-end road bike rim features a tough maxtal aluminium construction with SUP welding technology, which allows riders to benefit from its stronger rim joint that's been arc welded and milled for a smoother finish. Mavic has also equipped this model with its most iconic and proven technologies, including ISM4D and UST. ISM4D significantly reduces weight and inertia without compromising durability, so riders can enjoy faster acceleration, better handling and more resistance on the most demanding of gravel terrain conditions. It's smooth profile also helps to reduce aerodynamic drag. 

UST Tubeless Ready Gravel Rim

Developed for adventurous riders, this gravel rim is kitted out with Mavic's UST tubeless-ready technology which improves traction, control and comfort while reducing inertia and flats. Its updated rim bed shape also makes it easier to mount and change tyres while also allowing for lower rolling resistance, excellent rolling performance on rough surfaces and less chances of punctures. Coming complete with a 22mm internal rim width, this version is compatible with tyres up to 64mm as well as tyres as narrow as 28mm.

Technologies:

Maxtal: Light and strong. Exclusive to Mavic, this specific aluminium alloy offers a higher strength to weight ratio than conventional 6106 alloy.

UST Tubeless Ready: The UST concept improves traction, control and comfort while reducing inertia and flats. The tubeless-ready construction results in a lighter tyre for improved performance. The rim bed shape makes it easy to mount any tyres, tubeless and tube-type.

SUP (Soudé Usiné Process): Stronger and smoother joint. After bending, the rim joint is arc welded. The welded seam is then milled for a smooth finish.

ISM 4D Light Rim Technology: Inter Spoke Milling 4 Dimensions. An exclusive Mavic patented concept, ISM 4D significantly reduces weight and inertia without compromising durability. Quicker accelerations, better handling and more resistance; the right mix to make the most of any ride. The smooth profile also helps to reduce aerodynamic drag.
