The all-new Maxxis Receptor is a semi-slick gravel tyre designed for riding on pavement, hard-packed dirt roads and light gravel.
Compound
Two rubber compounds are used to balance rolling resistance and traction.
Protection
The legendary Maxxis EXO Protection – borrowed from the company's mountain bike tyres – is used in the sidewalls of the Receptor to reduce the chance of flats from cuts or abrasions.
Recommended use
The Receptor slots into the Maxxis gravel line between its high-volume Velocita slick and the knobbier Rambler. Choose the Receptor if you ride predominantly on smooth surfaces with the occasional unpaved adventure.
