Lighter, stronger, faster
The Vaypor G brings Bont Cycling’s industry-leading carbon technology and biomechanical efficiency to gravel riding. This flagship shoe sets new standards for those with a passion for dirt.
Durolite Outer Skin
Developed and chosen for the Vaypor G upper in consideration of strength-to-weight ratios and Bont's strict standards
Dual BOA Dial
IP1 Boa dials have been fitted to the Vaypor G for ease of adjustment. The dial is centrally located to minimise potential damage normally associated with side-mounted retention systems. It includes micro-adjustment and quick-release functionality.
Grip Plate
Sole has been designed to maximise grip and minimise retention of dirt and mud. Grip components are replaceable with spike mounts located in the toe section.
Bumpers
Bumpers are fitted in key areas to protect your feet
TPU Toe Protector
The toe protector protects the front area of the shoe from wheel rub and impact
Anti-Stretch
Between the outer leather and the liner, Bont adds a proprietary material to stop the cycling shoe from stretching over time. This material has similar strength characteristics to Kevlar. The material is stitched to the outer leather and bonded to the liner so it can never move or be removed. It becomes part of the cycling shoe structure. This layer assists in pedalling efficiency by maintaining a supportive structure over the top of the foot in the upward part of the pedal stroke
Carbon Fibre
The base of the Vaypor G is made by hand-utilising uni-directional carbon fibre, allowing a shoe with very specific strength characteristics based on stress points in cycling. It also assists in weight reduction of the shoes
Padding
The Vaypor G uses closed-cell memory foam that will not retain water, assisting in maintaining a lighter shoe during wet conditions as well as ensuring sweat, which can begin to break down the durability of the shoe, is not absorbed
Medial Longitudinal Arch Support
Structural medial longitudinal arch support is provided in all models to stop over-pronation of feet. Over-pronation is one of the main contributors to incorrect tracking of knees during a cyclist's pedalling phase, due to internal rotation of the tibia and femur. This can result in knee injuries. In addition, the rotation of the tibia/femur can cause the pelvis to tilt, resulting in lower back strain
Anatomical forefoot shape
Anatomical shaping allows the foot to function in its most efficient and anatomically correct position.
Anatomical heel cup
The anatomical heel cup shaping of Bont cycling shoes provides increased stability during the pull-through stage of pedalling stroke and up-stroke. This stabilisation is achieved without any mechanical operation or over-tightening of straps,/laces, allowing for increased comfort and blood circulation
