It can be an overwhelming experience as a women riding in a group made up of mostly male riders. Luckily it doesn't have to be that way as there are plenty of other like minded ladies on bikes in groups across NZ. Whether you are new to cycling, new to an area, or just looking for new riding buddies, finding a women's only cycling group can help. Ride more, develop your skills and make lasting friendships in a non-intimidating environment. Read on to see some of the options for female riders in New Zealand.

As women, we can often feel as if cycling can be an extremly male dominated sport, with plenty of group rides going on, but NONE for women. Well, I’m here to tell you that there are plenty of womens riding groups around NZ (if you know where to look).
Jumping on a bike and riding with friends opens up a whole new world! You go places you never thought you would go, meet people that share a common interest, sign up and go and do things that you would never have dreamed of, all because you have these crazy people around you that are getting out there too.
