I'm super excited to be riding Giants new 29e Reign this year. I like to ride a bit of everything, so wanted a versatile bike that is capable on decent but also pedals well on the climb. Plush suspension, good stopping power, modern geometry - it's hard to fault anything on this bike. Big wheels are the future too!
This bike is super well spec'd out of the box, so I haven't needed to make many changes. I have just added my comfort parts at the contact points - Ergon grips, Ergon saddle and some trusty Shimano XT trail pedals. I am also running a steerer mount Garmin Edge 530 GPS computer, which I can run the Trailforks app on the while out in the hills.
Hard to beat a full day riding in the Rotorua Redwoods! Although, I'm about to move to Nelson in 2020, so I'm sure there will be plenty of new favourite trails to come.
