The Spyke 26 is the ideal Youth mountain bike! Bringing top-end features to the kid's bikes at the right price. A 100mm Suntour suspension fork, 7-speed Shimano drivetrain, integrated kickstand mount, tapered headset, and progressive trail geometry is unseen in this class making Spyke 26 a true BIC offering. Featuring adapted POP geometry as piloted on the Slade, the Spyke 26 is a confident descender that handles like a proper trail bike. Silverback Juvenile brake levers on Tektro cable disc brake calipers makes for great all weather braking. Spyke 26 will get your youngster shredding trails in no time.

ADAPTED POP GEOMETRY
Silverback's Position of Power geometry. Geometry designed to engage bigger muscle groups in pedaling, producing more power output for the same amount of input. Longer frame places the rider forward, in a more balanced position, improving grip on the rear on climbs and on the front on descents. A longer wheelbase and slacker head angle means more control at speed. Geometry is adapted to offer more comfort.

QUICK RELEASE WHEELS
Kids want to ride anywhere and everywhere. This means they want their bikes taken with on weekends away, or even when you head over to friends for coffee. By giving our kids bikes quick release wheels, we make sure that you can quickly and easily take the wheels off, to fit it in your car, or in a roof box. This also makes fixing punctures a breeze if they should happen.
SURFACE 26" TUBELESS READY WHEELS
Surface Wheels fitted to the Skid 26 are pre-taped at the factory and tubeless ready from the box. Easy to set up, just add sealant and inflate to seat. Spyke 26 rolls on 26" wheels. These offer better roll-over than 24" or 20" wheels. Also wider options for tyres available over the counter
MECHANICAL DISC BRAKES
Spyke 26 comes with mechanical disc brakes. Disc brakes offer dependable all-weather performance over rim brakes and the lever pull is light for young riders. Levers are reach adjustable for smaller hands.
SIZE SPECIFIC CONTACT POINTS
Spyke 26 is finished with a kid's specific saddle, smaller, narrower bars, smaller diameter grips, reach adjustable bars, reach adjustable brakes and a shorter crankset with smaller pedals - all to suit smaller riders perfectly.
SUPER LOW STANDOVER
Spyke 26 frame has a very low standover, this means that it can be ridden by both girls and boys with more room for movement. This improves control and confidence over technical terrain.
1X GEARED DRIVETRAIN
Silverback fits 1x drivetrains to as many bikes as we can. 1x offers less maintenance, is more intuitive to use and offers a wider gear range than 3x groupsets. We spec a MICROshift 1x8 drivetrain and a 32t chainring on the Spyke 26 in favor of climbing, rather than flat terrain top speed. Everyone can benefit from easier climbing.
