ByK has modified the handlebars to a lower profile V-bar for better weight distribution in those more challenging circumstances, and added custom-fit knobby tyres to handle the toughest terrain.
From the smooth-handling long wheelbase to the ultra-efficient tall wheels, safe footbrake and two calibrated alloy handbrakes, every component has been carefully selected. Just 8+kgs.
Design
Committed to the ultimate off-road potential, the E350MTB inspires fun and adventure. While kids' MTBs are typically heavy and sluggish to handle, this one is seriously light.
This is not a scaled-down adult bike. Every component has been considered, tested, custom-sized and tuned to suit the profile of young riders. ByK's unique ergonomic riding position and geometry offer a range of riding positions and adjustability unexpected at this size.
The saddle is also padded and matches the size of kids' bodies, allowing them to ride comfortably and in the correct position.
Performance
Lightweight alloy wheels make pedalling easier. And the custom-fit knobby tyres can handle the road, and handle rougher terrain even better. At just over 8kgs, the 350MTB is about 30% more efficient than comparative kids' bikes.
Safety
Young riders need to be able to brake efficiently and confidently to be safe. The alloy front and rear callipers have light action for superior control, with a simple and safe coaster-style foot brake. The custom-sized V-Brakes are calibrated for age, ability and ergonomic fit. They are made of non-flexing, strong and light alloy.
Lightweight alloy rims ensure easier pedalling, and more importantly, provide a more efficient braking surface than cheaper, chrome-plated steel rims, and are therefore safer.
